John Whites Golf Centre, Bedford Road, Rushden, Northants. NN10 0SA

We are based at the  John Whites Golf Club on Bedford Road, Rushden, which offers easy access and ample parking.

As well as our indoor premises in which we offer drama and dance, a wide range of arts and crafts and cookery, we also have the use of a vegetable garden and patio area, where we grow our own plants and vegetables.

We have excellent sports facilities in our area available to us including a climbing wall and archery, as well as the Golf Centre’s driving range and green bowling field.  

Since 2009, we have been providing high quality daytime care for adults with learning disabilities.

Our aim is to enhance life skills and enable personal growth through fun-filled days packed with enjoyable activities

We provide a broad range of indoor and outdoor activities for our clients including arts and crafts, music, sports, gardening, cooking and trips out and about in the community.

OPENING TIMES

The Fairway Centre operates from 09.30 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, except for Tuesdays, when we are open until 7.30 p.m.

TRANSPORT

We operate our own minibuses (1 x 16 seater, 1 x 8 seat W/chair accessible and 1 x 6 seat PCV) which gives us the freedom to go where we choose and when we choose. Our day trips and summer outings are always popular.

We can, of course, provide door-to-door transport to and from the centre, if required.

OUR STAFF

The centre employs six qualified carers who have in excess of 20 years experience in this field between them. Two of our carers are qualified First Aiders.

All staff fully CRB checked and are qualified in Health and Social Care, as well as British Sign Language.

Because we never take more then 10 clients per day (2 per carer, or a one to one service if required) we can tailor our activities around our clients’ personal interests and hobbies.
